Holly McGarraugh, President and CEO
Holly has over 20 years of experience in medical devices. Most recently, she was the Vice President of Worldwide Marketing for in-vivo products at Abbott Diabetes Care and led the commercialization efforts, including clinical acceptance and reimbursement, of a new product category called continuous glucose monitoring. Prior to this, she was a vice president at the successful start-up, TheraSense (now Abbott Diabetes Care). She was an early member of Lifescan Inc. (a division of Johnson & Johnson) where she held multiple roles including the Director of Customer Service and Marketing, and Vice President of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs. She holds an M.Ed. in medical education from Vanderbilt University and a BS in Dietetics from David Lipscomb University.

Rajiv Parikh, Co-Founder and Former Apieron CEO
Rajiv Parikh founded Apieron to address asthma, a major chronic condition that affected his childhood. Currently CEO of Position2, a global search engine marketing firm, he has over 15 years of senior management experience in marketing, sales and product development at AltaVista, Sun Microsystems, NCR and AT&T. Rajiv was an early co-founder of MetroFi, a VC-backed broadband wireless service provider. He has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire.

Robert E. Curry, PhD, Venture Partner, Alliance Technology Ventures (ATV)  
Bob Curry joined ATV as a Venture Partner in July 2002. Prior to ATV, Bob served as a general partner at Sprout Group, where he originated the life sciences investment activity. Previously, Bob worked in various capacities with Merrill Lynch R&D Management Inc. and Merrill Lynch Venture Capital Inc., including serving as President. Bob's previous roles included Vice President of Becton Dickinson & Company and General Manager of Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc.'s Diagnostic Systems Division. Bob currently serves as a director of Emerald BioAgriculture Corporation, GenOptix, Inc., Sensys Medical, Inc., Prometheus Laboratories, Inc., ThauMDx, Inc., TriPath Imaging, Inc. and Xcyte Therapies, Inc. Bob received his MS and PhD in Chemistry from Purdue University and has been recognized as a SmithKline Fellow.

Jennifer Scott Fonstad, Managing Director
Jennifer Fonstad is a Managing Director at Draper Fisher Jurvetson, having joined the firm in 1997. Ms. Fonstad has worked for 20 years with both large corporations and start-ups to help build their organizations. At Draper Fisher Jurvetson, her investments span a broad set of both technology and life sciences companies including Internet services, wireless networks, medical devices, cleantech, and nanotechnology. She brings strategic leadership and a strong network to bear as a member of the Board for her investments.

Ms. Fonstad speaks frequently at industry conferences and writes often for industry publications. She began her career with Bain and Company after spending a year teaching in sub-Saharan Africa. She graduated Cum Laude from Georgetown University, holds an MBA with Distinction from the Harvard Business School, where she launched the school’s first business plan competition, and is a former Kauffman Fellow.

Wende Hutton, General Partner, Canaan Partners
Wende Hutton joined Canaan Partners’ Menlo Park office in 2004, bringing diverse expertise from across the entire medical spectrum. Wende began her venture career at Mayfield Fund in 1993, where she was a General Partner in the life sciences group until 2001. Most recently, she was a General Partner at Spring Ridge Ventures, a healthcare-focused seed fund. Earlier in her career, Wende held senior operational management positions at GenPharm International and Nellcor. Wende has served on the board of directors for over 14 companies, and currently sits on the boards of Alsius Corp, Apieron Inc., BiPar Sciences, Inc., Northstar Neuroscience, Inc., ReVision Optics, Inc. and Spaltudaq Corp. Wende holds an AB in human biology from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School, where she was a Baker Scholar.

Robert F. Kuhling, Jr., General Partner, ONSET Ventures
Rob Kuhling has been with ONSET Ventures since 1987 and invests in communications and networking companies and medical device companies. Rob was Director of Marketing at Sun Microsystems, served as Vice President and Manager of General Electric-Calma and was a team leader for Boston Consulting Group. Rob leads ONSET’s investments in companies like Clarify, Conceptus, Alteon, Packeteer, Embolic Protection and Gadzoox Networks. Rob's current board memberships include Access Closure, Curon Medical, Endotex Interventional Systems and Kadiri. Rob received his AB from Hamilton College and his MBA from Harvard Business School.

David Martin, CEO, Cardiovascular Systems Inc.
David has been a driver in building value during the last 10 years in three venture-backed companies. David was appointed the CEO of Cardiovascular Systems Inc. in February 2007 and has served on its Board since August 15, 2006. Previously, David was Chief Operating Officer for FoxHollow Technologies (IPO 2004) and directed its commercial plan. Prior to FoxHollow, David was Vice President of Global Sales for Rita Medical Systems (IPO 2000) and Director of U.S. Sales for CardioThoracic Systems (IPO 1996). David has also held sales and sales management positions for Procter & Gamble, Boston Scientific and Guidant Corporation.
